What glass splinters lie so deep in your mind...

sing blue silver...

bambie my high-school sidekick taught me new wave and punk. I followed her style, with a mix of my own, and followed her off to college to escape the tyranny of my "then" boyfriend. At this time, and I am not kidding, no one dressed like Bambie (Barbara). Maybe in New York, maybe in London.. but NOT in Langley high-school. Yes, yes, everyone from my era has something of that to say.. but this was a conservative school, and the rowdiest bunch of misfits were what we called grits. But I guess you would call freaks. That reminds me... I love Freaks and Geeks, it's so my school, circa 80-84.

I have this really bad perm. I seemed have a death wish for perms! Curly big hair was big then, so I guess.. whatever.

this is Bambie with style, class photographer.

oh yeah, polka dots rule!

and here I am punking it out... and Bambie sporting a very fresh look. if only I had the guts to shave my head here... but I did a year later.
