UPDATED: Daryl K's Occupy Wall Street Fall Sale!
Hey, I don't know about you, but I'd rather give my money to the designers than the brokers. But then again, my idea of an investment might not give me as good of a return, except to make me look stylish.
*** So I wanted to add.. For those of you who are confused about this... Let me explain something. It is really hard for fashion designers to get their art/product out. So much money is sunk into their hard work and never realized beyond one or two fashion shows, and great press. And much of the money they do make goes right back into the production of their work. It's super hard for them unless they get someone to finance them. Life savings, student loans, money borrowed all go into producing their line. And unless some big store like Barney's, wants it, then all that money is lost, and those clothes just sit on the racks, and the rest of the orders are never made. And what do you think is happening right now during this horrible economy, and the miss use of funds, and then these big hot shots who walk away with big fat severance pays... Well? Now you can understand what a designer would be doing out there marching with the rest of the Occupy Wall Street crowd?
And incase you don't know what it's all about... the Occupy Wall Street participants are mainly protesting social and economic inequality, corporate greed, corruption and influence over government—particularly from the financial services sector.
