Hi Book Lovers

I have a special little surprise for those who love a hardback book! I have released the Special Edition of Pocket of Pain, from Ballet Shoes to Combat Boots* in Hardback!

It is officially available today. The general public can get it online at Amazon, and Barnes & Noble, but for you, and anyone who visits my website, you can get it at a discount. This saves you money, and me!

If you have already read the book, there are only a few small changes to it. Mainly spelling errors. Even with professional eyes on it, and arc readers, its quite a thing to catch it all. But mainly I just think it looks fabulous, and the cover speaks to the optimism that the story speaks to. I’ve added a few reviews below so you can get an idea of what others think for those of you who have not read it yet and aren’t sure. Remember, this isn’t just my story. This story speaks to many women and men. I’ve had quite a few men read it and they feel a huge connection, if not to themselves, but to their sisters and mothers.

Here are some easy links to get you going.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hit me like a ton of Bricks!

Set in the vibrant chaos of the ’80s punk scene, Lady Warfield captures the defiance, confusion, and resilience of youth with startling clarity. Through her eyes, we see how emotional manipulation can twist love into something dark and how art, music, and friendship can guide you back to the light. What I loved most was how the story never wallows in pain; instead, it transforms suffering into strength. The author’s writing is rhythmic, raw, and electric—like poetry set to guitar riffs. I found myself rooting for the young woman on every page as she fought for freedom and self-acceptance. This isn’t just a memoir-like reflection; it’s a manifesto for survivors everywhere. Pocket of Pain is a reminder that healing isn’t linear—but every scar can become a lyric in your personal anthem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Writing!

I couldn't put this book down! Lady Warfield has a tight handle on storytelling. The story was engaging and paced just right. It felt like I was walking through the story with her. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading coming-of-age stories. It was also really fun to "relive" the 80's a bit with her music choices and fashion, both hair and clothes...80's hair was epic! Definitely recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Feelin' like I'm almost 16 again!"

LadyWarfield has a great writing style. The places she takes you are described with the right amount of chosen words. She has natural wit and humor, which makes this book feel so good to read; it flows. Lady Warfield writes with just the right amount of description, you are there with those kids....maybe feeling a nice sweater on a teenage hunk...lol.
Those teenage years, filled with teenage thinking....I love this book because it takes you thru a time, I love the descriptions of people and places and emotions, we humans; parent or childen have so many.. she brings this depth without the pretense. Really gifted, great writing style. Can't wait for the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read!

As a seventeen-year-old old I really like how authentic this sounded, with all the characters and it being based on a teenagers life. It was funny at times, also hard to read. I found it interesting to see a women's perspective of going through emotional abuse of her boyfriend at such a young age, and I know a lot of people would relate to this. I can't wait to recommend to my friends!
